Tabula Rasa content Gameplay/Content Questions

Is there a variety of player races in Auto Assault?
There are three unique playable races and many non-playable factions in Auto Assault . The playable races are: Human, Mutant, and Biomek. Each race has four unique character classes, all with a variety of avatar customization options and vehicle types.

What customization options does Auto Assault offer?
Player avatar customization options include both trainable abilities and visible physical characteristics. Characters may own a variety of vehicles, each of which has customizable options including aesthetic and equipment priorities. Weapon options include melee, ranged, area of effect (AoE), and more - for many types of specific damage forms.

Utilizing these options in just a few steps, two identical starting vehicles can quickly become dramatically different. Auto Assault also features a system of dynamic item generation to allow for similar base chassis types to adopt dramatically different statistical features from their creation. Players will also be able to create custom looks for their chassis, called Tricks and Trims, that add a more unique and distinctive look depending on what the player chooses.

Will Auto Assault have missions for both solo players and groups of players?
Players may choose to strike out on their own or join with others in a convoy for short-term adventuring. A group of players may opt to form a clan as well; clan membership does not prevent players from enjoying solo missions or pick-up group convoys. A player can combine Auto Assault 's missions, extended quests, arenas, and explorations with convoy missions (for multiple players) in both persistent and instanced occurrences.

Will Auto Assault offer player-versus-player (PvP) opportunities?
Auto Assault features faction-to-faction combat in addition to competitive arenas. From vehicle races to kill tasks, the combinations and opportunities are abundant. Arenas combine faction combat with unique tactical objectives such as sieges and area defense tasks with web-based ladders and 64-team competition brackets. A spectator option provides a way to observe all the carnage in the various competitions from the safety of the sidelines. Arena-based PvP combat will allow players to see who is the best on a truly global scale since arena combat is 'serverless'.

Will PvP combat in Auto Assault be consensual?
Group and individual player-versus-player (PvP) interaction will take place in combat arenas and certain areas of the world not protected by specific factions, thus rendering them a no man's land of un-patrolled, un-policed carnage. The common arrangement will be consensual combat by map zone and limited to racial/factional allegiances. Players who do not wish to engage in PvP combat may avoid those areas.

How will Auto Assault players communicate with one another in the game?
Various chat channels will allow players to communicate in many ways including within convoy groups, with an entire map, or with specific person-to-person whispers. In addition, Auto Assault features an integrated voice chat client for real-time vocal communication - a must in rapid-fire, intense combat.

Does Auto Assault have a crafting system?
Auto Assault implements a system for item creation and refinement with collectable commodities and a vast array of components. It also allows for bonuses and limitations based on racial proficiencies and research & development (R&D) focus.

What happens if my Auto Assault character dies?
NetDevil is committed to implementing features that enhance the enjoyment of the game for its players. Many do not consider experience point penalties, loss of items, or excessive recovery time to be fun. Therefore, there are no harsh penalties for death in Auto Assault . After the destruction of the player's vehicle, a friendly player can repair it (if he has the proper skills) or an airlift can deliver it to the last station visited. This means that the only "penalty" is the time it takes you to get patched up, regroup, and recover your position.

How come I can't get out of my vehicle?
You will be able to get out of your vehicle, but only in protected towns and cities. The world is far too dangerous to be running around unprotected - pedestrians are easy fodder for roving gangs, mutated creatures, and especially other vehicles.

What is a Convoy?
In this harsh land of roaming player gangs and NPC enemies waiting around every corner to ambush you, it pays to fight together. Convoys (read: groups) allow drivers to team up with other players in groups called convoys. Being that a convoy is temporary, a driver can leave at any time. While in the convoy however, players share experience and loot and stand a much better chance at survival.

What is the INC Service?
The INC, or the International Negotiables Consulting, is a corporation that can manufacture and supply goods on a global scale. They have the ability to airlift your destroyed vehicle back to a town for repair. They are an unbiased corporation that provides such a service to all surviors equally, for a price of course. They also provide banking services and inter race exchange between the surviving groups.

What is Hazard Mode?
The Central Wastelands is a very tough place to survive. Even the most prepared driver, will on occasion come across situations that he or she cannot handle during normal circumstances. Each of the three races has different abilities called "Hazard Mode" abilities that enable them to all become very powerful for a short time. Each race's hazard mode is unique. The humans have a modification that enhances their shield technology to create an inversion effect while at the same time calling down a high-energy beam from orbit to damage/destroy everything in a specific area. Biomek chassis enables their vehicles to transform into robot juggernauts. Mutants use a contamination field to form a free-roving negative energy field which can damage any enemy within range and move in bursts of great speed.
